Council Members, City Staff, and community organizations came together to learn about how transportation impacts daily life in Lexington. LFUCG departments and partners shared information about their work within the transportation system. You all attended to share your thoughts and experiences on how you move around in Lexington, what barriers you may face in your daily commute, and your vision for a better transportation network. It was a greatly successful event and we greatly appreciate and value the conversations we had and input we received!

What is an Issue Expo?

An Issue Expo is a casual tabling event, which will provide opportunities for you to engage with Council Members and the learn more about the legislative process. You will also get to meet LFUCG agencies and community partners that relate to the event's topic while sharing your experience.

The topic of this event is transportation but we are looking to have more events in the future. If you have any additional topic ideas, be sure to let us know!

What do you mean by transportation?

When we say transportation, we are talking about any way you move around Lexington. That could be walking, driving, biking, riding, rolling, flying, or any other method you can think of! We want to hear about your experience getting around and provide you with the opportunity to talk to the folks in our City who help make that happen.

Who will be there to provide information?

We will have a variety of LFUCG Departments and community groups that do this work in Lexington. You can see a few examples below!

What if I can't be there at 9:00am?

This event is designed for you to come and drop-in whenever and for however long you're able to join us! We invite you to visit at any time between 9:00 am and 11:30 am.

Will my Council Member be there?

All Council Members have been invited and hope to attend the Issue Expo. If you need more information on who your representative is, you can find that information here.

Can I bring my kids?

Yes! We will have an activity area just for kids!

How can I get there and where can I park?

There is parking available at the library. There are also bike racks if you choose to cycle to the Transportation Expo. The Marksbury Family Branch of the Library is on Lextran Route 8, if you travel by bus.

Can I get additional information about the Public Input Subcommittee?
